The technology industry is just as hard as any other industries to be in. The prime problems of the companies that belong to this industry usually revolve around technological competitions. This is evident because this industry is the one responsible for bringing the state-of-the-art gadgets, equipment, and accessories for many use. Other than that, the competitions for this industry are usually extended worldwide, making the situation hard for local and small markets.

In order for any of the technologically inclined company get an edge among others, they need not only to have the best development team around but the finest management thinkable as well. With this in hand, they’ll definitely conquer their market and will be able to lead the rest.

The technology industry needs highly innovative leaders who have good eyes for finding business opportunities they can work on. Mr. Charles Phillips Infor CEO is a good example of this type of leader because this man had helped different companies to get many significant accomplishments. A good example is during his 7-year stay at Oracle where he played an important role in the company’s 60 acquisitions. During his stay, Oracle was able to close multi- billion-dollar dollar deals, which led to the bankruptcy of several companies in the same marker. Some of this was Siebel, Hyperion, BEA, PeopleSoft, Agile Software, Retek, Phase Forward, and Sun. The main goal of the company was to improve Oracle’s presence in vertical markets.

The technology industry also needs leaders who are not afraid to delve directly into the competition. Without this quality, a leader will only bring his company and team down because this industry is fierce, considering the speed of decline of gadgets. Furthermore, a good example for this is Mr. Charles Phillips Infor has because the acquisition spree he had participated in proved to be an excellent strategy for beating one of Oracle’s competitors.

There are not so many leaders like Mr. Charles Phillips Infor has; but as long as people like him are made as role models, more people will eventually become great leaders as well. Mr. Phillips had recently transferred to Infor from Oracle, but people expect that he’d still be able to show excellent leadership skills that are worth looking forward to.

People might think that all the richness and good fortunes has arrived in the life of Jon McKee Queen, but in reality, it’s all because of his motivation and desire of studying from different schools that made him knowledgeable and well-deserved in all the positions that he held. There is no such thing as being lucky but he actually reaped all the fruits of his worthwhile endeavors, particularly when he had been a dedicated student, which made him a Managing Director of Jaspen Capital Partners.

Jon McKee Queen finished Economics triumphantly from Cornell University and later pursued Law from the University of Pennsylvania where he received his Juris Doctorate Degree. He never ceased studying but he even acquired higher education when he received his certificate of Study from Wharton Business School in the field of Business and Public Policy. He landed his first job as part of the licensed securities for John Hancock Financial Services in New York as one of its representatives.

His life did not end as merely representing the company that he first loved but he had been active and engaged in improving company profit by bringing more than $2 billion because of his keenness in financial issues. Jon McKee Queen later jumped to greener pastures, which were literally and figuratively wide. He finally left Latham in 2006 where he worked and held various positions such as being Executive Director, Senior Vice President, Official advisor, and had been appointed as part of former President’s administration, Bill Clinton.
